Who is responsible
This site is run by Toronto Massage Guide. Contact us there about anything on this page.
Email subscription
If you subscribe, we keep your email address, the language you chose, the page you signed up on, the exact wording you agreed to, and the times you asked, confirmed and unsubscribed. We use this only to email you new articles and occasional offers from businesses featured on this site. Every email is sent by the sender named at the top of this page and carries an unsubscribe link. You are not subscribed until you click the link in the confirmation email. We do not give your email address to the featured businesses; any offer from them reaches you in an email sent by us. If you unsubscribe we keep your address on a do-not-email list so that we do not email you again. If you ask us to delete it, we delete the address; we keep a record without your email address that shows someone agreed and later left, for as long as Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) expects us to be able to prove consent.
Comments
If you leave a comment we keep your name, the text, your email address if you gave one (only moderators see it), and a scrambled code made from part of your IP address, which we use to spot spam. Approved comments are public and show your name. The scrambled code is erased after 30 days. The comment stays until we remove it or you ask us to.
Clicks on business links
When you click a link to a business we record which business, which article you came from, the website you came from, the time, and a scrambled code made from part of your IP address and the date. The code changes every day, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next. It is erased after 30 days. We do not store your IP address or details about your browser. Our hosting provider keeps its own server logs.
Clinic submissions
If you send a clinic through the List your clinic form, we keep what you wrote, your name, email and phone number (if given), and a scrambled code made from part of your IP address, to review the submission. The scrambled code is erased after 30 days, and your contact details are erased 90 days after we finish reviewing the submission.
Maps and your location
Maps load from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address and the part of the map you look at. If you press “Show clinics near me” or “Nearest partner clinic”, your browser asks your permission and your location is used only inside your browser to sort the clinics by distance. It is not sent to us, put in the address, or stored. The map then moves to your area, so OpenStreetMap’s servers receive requests for the map tiles around where you are. They see that part of the map, not your exact position.
Cookies
We use cookies to remember your language, to keep our staff signed in to the admin area, and to protect forms from forgery. We do not use them to follow you around other websites. Visitors do not need an account to use this site.
Unsubscribe, access and deletion
To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any email we send. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to have a comment removed, contact us at the contact details we publish for this site (not available yet). We will answer within 30 days.
